So, at first I was like, “this is a cute Rule 63 of Nightwing”… then I realized, this was Dick…

maybe you should actually try reading some Superman comics before you start judging him.
((Stuff like that makes me wanna flip tables. Who the fuck cares if a superhero is not relatable..that doesn’t matter. Most of them aren’t! What matters is the effect that hero’s actions has on a person’s life. Some people get more than entertainment out of comics. These characters inspire hope, strength…values that are important to people. It still amazes me that people are so shallow.))
//the very point of Superman is that he’s not human. He’s trying to fit in as best he can, but he’s not supposed to be relatable
even still, even though he tries his hardest to fit in and be human, he’s not
and that’s the point
He’s supposed to be this superhuman person with these amazing abilities and wonderful sense of right and wrong and this instinct to protect us
He is meant to be the hope for the human race, the one we should all aspire to be, but not someone we should ever be able to understand.
and it just really grinds my gears that people don’t realize it or constantly try to use that as a reason for why he’s a horrible character.
((Hit the fucking nail right on the head.))
“My name is General Zod. I have journeyed across an ocean of stars to reach you. Your world has sheltered one of my citizens. He will look like you, but he is not one of you.”

I dislike Superman. I didn’t enjoy the animated series or any previous film.
Why? He’s a fucking idiot. Lois doesn’t want wimpy, awkward, nerdy Clark Kent, but rather strong, suave, heroic Superman. And he wants to complain about that when he fucking knows!
Not to mention he doesn’t think before throwing punches.
Honestly, Superman is overdone and over powered. His three weaknesses; no sunlight, lead, and kryptonite (green and red). The hype is also annoying. Fandom aside most people’s fave heros are Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Spider-man.
Batman- A smart billionaire orphan with ninja skills and a haunting past. He’s also insane and deeply disturbed.
Wonder Woman- An Amazonian princess who was the first female hero to compete with the boys…and kick their asses too.
Spider-man- A sassy computer/science geek bitten by a spider that makes him spider-like. Also very whiny.
Superman- Alien from dead planet sent to Earth as a baby to protect people…basically a Jesus story…only he is a goody two-shoes with a serious tan by now.
I don’t know about you, but I think Supes is the least relatable person on that list. If you’re Jesus, maybe you can understand…I’m not.
The new movie…my original intention
I didn’t want to see it for the reasons above.
Now it’s a debate, Nolan directed it.
The Dark Knight Trilogy was well planned and well written. I really want to know how he’d portray Superman. I’d like to appreciate Superman more, honestly. If he were a little more human (he was raised by the Kents afterall) with real flaws and internal struggles in battle and at peace. All I know is his love life sucks and he’s the last living Kryptonian (other than Supergirl, Superboy, and Power Girl)
He’s a bit too shallow in character for me. At least he’s not Spider-man or Speedball
Would you mind not tagging your hate please? Thanks.
